Fire Ecology Field Trip – Teton Valley, ID

Join us for a Fire Ecology Field Trip in Teton Valley and learn about the origins of wildland fire, it’s relationship to wildlife habitat, and controlled burns in our area! We will be going up Teton canyon with fire specialist Deb Flowers and walking along Sheep Bridge trail. Even if you are familiar with the trail, you will be able to see it through the eyes of an ecologist and fire expert and ask lots of questions. We’ll eat lunch somewhere around there and then drive to a couple prescribed burn sites from this year and last to learn more about fire management and fire recovery.

Meetup is at 10am at the District Ranger Station in Driggs. Bring your hiking/walking shoes and a bag lunch and join us!
