Teton Valley Fire Ecology Field Trip

June 17 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

fire ecology field trip teton valley, Driggs, forest service education

Mark your calendars for a fun field trip with Ryan Baum, Forest Service fire specialist. We will be taking a hike into the forest to learn about fire ecology, prescribed fires, and view the forest through an expert’s eyes. Participants need to be prepared for a short hike (2 miles or less) which will include walking off-trail on uneven ground and through brush. We will meet at the Teton Basin Ranger station in Driggs and then carpool to our location up Teton Canyon. This is a free event, we just ask that interested participants sign up to receive updates about the event and so we know how many people are coming.

Participants should dress for the weather and wear comfortable closed-toe shoes. Bring a sack lunch with you; we’ll find a pretty place to stop and eat.
