Diamond P Ranch

2865 Targhee Pass Hwy, West Yellowstone, MT

fence removal

HFWA will again lower barriers to wildlife movements by removing barbed wire fencing from 70 acres on Diamond P Ranch adjacent to Gallatin National Forest. The Equestrian Conservation Coalition is planning this project. Pronghorn, elk, deer, and sage-grouse that winter in the Henrys Fork watershed spend their summers in the Gallatin and Yellowstone areas. Opening up the 70 acres of meadow will increase access to over 200 acres of unrestricted wildlife corridor!

WHERE: Diamond P Ranch, southside of Highway 20. Here is a Google Maps link for directions.

EQUIPMENT: Dress for the weather (hats, jackets, sunscreen) and bring gardening gloves, as well as muck boots or shoes that can get muddy and wet. Bring plenty of water and a lunch/snacks.
