HFWA will partner with IDF&G to host a visit to a sage-grouse lek, a “dancing ground” where sage-grouse breed each spring. The early morning visit will be followed by breakfast at El Jaliciense and a presentation on sage-grouse conservation and ecology. The visit will be guided by:

Logan Peterson, Regional Wildlife Biologist with IDFG

Caitlyn Wanner, HFWA Project Coordinator, M.S. from U of WY studying sage-grouse winter habitat

Participants will need to plan on carpooling from St. Anthony Broulim’s and DEPARTING no later than 6:40am. Participants should dress for cold weather and bring binoculars if possible.
